A SONY PSOne transparent TN LCD 5" (4" x 3") panel.
TFT active matrix drive system.
Resolution: Zoomed 348 x 240 pixels, Normal 263 x 190 pixels.
Maximum viewable area: Zoomed 4.3" (3.6" x 2.5"), Normal 3.3" (2.7" x 2.0").
With Zoom enabled, the screen scales up by 1.5X of the original GBA screen.
When Zoom is turned off, the scale is about 1.15X of the original.
Screen delivers outstanding brightness of 650 Candela (cd/m2).
Backlighting is done using specially designed fluorescent tubes for screen
illumination.
Incredibly crisp and sharp RGB quality picture.
Provides Stereo sound from built-in 1.5" x 1.125", oval, 1.0 Watt speakers.
The MiracleRay and Game Boy Advance are powered from one 9V 1000mA power
adapter with a 4.75mm plug.
The MiracleRay and Game Boy Advance can also be powered for over two hours with
the use of a 9.6 Volt Ni-MH rechargeable battery pack and a voltage converter.
PSOne AV MULTI OUT port in the back for displaying the picture simultaneously
on a Television through the RCA phono or S-Video connections or on a computer
monitor capable of horizontal synchronization to 15.75kHz with RGB+Sync*
connections. Also outputs stereo sound.
Headphone output from a 3.5mm connector at 0.1W. (EIAJ/32 ohms)
Digital control of Brightness and Sound Volume.
LCD can be turned on and off, independently of the GBA adapter and the
GBA itself.
RGB and S-Video signals pass through to the AV Multi Out port if the LCD
is turned off.
AV input through a 3.5mm camcorder connector. This is used to display video
and audio on the LCD from outside sources. When the connector is plugged
in, it automatically superimposes over the video from the GBA.
No special cables needed for connection to the television or Powered Speakers,
just use any PSOne AV cable.
Comfortable and easy to hold.
Flexible clamps attach the MiracleRay to the GBA. Exchanging a game only
requires the removal of clamps and a tilt of the GBA relative to the MiracleRay
at about a 45 degree angle.
Backlit Sony LCD. It really doesn't get any better than that.
Can be used with any Game Boy Advance system that was modified for use with the GBA TV Adapter.
Use in car is available through a standard 9Volt 1000mA automobile power
adapter with a 4.7mm plug.
Very addictive. Gives new life to the GBA. Possibly the best screen quality
that can be achieved from the poor poor dark GBA. Rekindled my interest
in what I considered to be an unplayable portable console.
No washed out colors, just blindingly vibrant color.
Notes:
* The MiracleRay outputs the Sync signal on Pin 10 of the PSOne AV
port instead of the Fast Blanking signal that the PSOne outputs for overlaying
it's video on the screen, if the PSOne AV cable is connected to any devices
that use this pin, then the device will not function correctly. It is unlikely
that anything uses this connection and it is therefore replaced with a
computer Sync signal for RGB output.
The MiracleRay is not a commercial product, but my personal
project. It is not affiliated or licensed by Nintendo, Sony, or Innovation
